For the past almost 2 weeks I have had to track my blood sugar 4 times a day.
I had to prick my finger with a lancet and put the blood on a strip and it would give me a number.
The number had to be consistently under 120 and under 100 when I first woke up in the morning.
I went to the doctor and they looked through my log book and said my numbers were great! YAY!
She did tell me to still keep it under control BC if my sugar somehow creeps into the 200's when Lilly is born her little body will still try to cope with that # giving her hyperglycemia and will cause her to have seizures. That scared me SO bad and I'm very grateful my numbers aren't that bad!
She told me I'm measuring 2 and a half weeks ahead putting me at 35 weeks some odd days and that I needed another growth ultrasound to confirm.
Gestational Diabetes babies tend to larger than normal babies so i have to be monitored closely for her size.
So Tuesday I go to radiology on base and get it done.
I asked her if she could please tell me the position of the baby just BC i was curious.
She told me she is head down her butt is in my right ribs and her feet are at my left ribs and her hands are at my lower left.
She got out the fetal Doppler to get her heart rate and Lilly kicked it over and over and there were loud thuds.
I think Lillian knew what was going on BC every time she would get her heartbeat she would squirm out of the way so the doctor would move a few inches left, then right, then left.
We were laughing pretty hard. Shes feisty already.
After wards I came home and took a nice long nap!
Sam and I also went to the humane society to just browse at the cute animals and pet them.
My favorite room OF COURSE is the cat room!
Ill update again probably on Tuesday with my ultrasound results!
